Apologies to any republicans out there (do make yourselves known when you've come out of hiding!) - I'm excited to celebrate such an incredible milestone for the Queen. And it's so brilliantly landed as we celebrate Pentecost as a church on Sunday - the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The Queen's faith has been vital to her throughout her reign. Here's what she said in her 2002 Christmas Day message: “I know just how much I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad. Each day
is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God!”
We'll be celebrating the Platinum Jubilee and Pentecost on Sunday in our All Age service at
10am on Sunday , café style in church and live-streamed on our usual Zoom link too. After
something more formal? Join me and Mayor Alan Dowden at Romsey Abbey at 4pm on
Saturday, for Test Valley Borough Council's Civic Service: https://www.romseyabbey.org.uk...
