Prayer Ministry
We believe that prayer works
Our prayer ministry is a vital part of our church community and we love the opportunity to pray and see God at work.
We believe in the power of prayer to bring comfort, healing, and guidance. Members of our prayer team are always available to pray with and for you, whether you are facing challenges, celebrating joys, or seeking direction. We have a prayer team who are willing to pray, and prayer is always available on request.
If you would like someone to pray for you, or with you, please email the office: [email protected]

Take Time
Finding peace in busy and anxious times.
What is Take Time?
It’s a short meditation using a Bible passage from one of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John), focusing on an encounter with Jesus.
How many attend and what’s it like? It’s usually a small group (4-8 people) and is gentle and relaxing. Imagination and visualisation are used to picture the scene that is read out loud. There is an opportunity to share personal insights afterwards but there is no pressure to do so.
Do you have to be a Christian to attend? All faiths and none are welcome. It provides an opportunity for those less well acquainted with the Bible to experience God’s peace in an accessible way.
When and where is it - can I just turn up? It’s at St Francis Church on the first Wednesday of the month at 10.40 am and lasts about 45 minutes.
Yes, you can just turn up! If you’d like to know more, contact our church administrator:
