2023-07-27 Remembering

We have lots of events coming up over the next few weeks to celebrate and remember, starting with the wedding of Zoe and Jake on Saturday. It's such a delight to celebrate the wedding of someone who's been a member of St Francis since childhood! We are also marking more milestones in the life of our church family next week as we remember before God dear members of our church family who've died recently. Some had joined us very recently, like John with his wife Jill, who'd recently moved to Brendoncare in this parish, others like Geoff, we've known for much longer, as he's served in a variety of ways. Whether celebrating or remembering, these milestones in the life of the church family are so important to honour. God didn't create us to live and work alone, but in community, and in sharing these times together, whether joyful or sad - in caring for each other and sharing God's love - we catch a glimpse of God's Kingdom and shine a little of His light out into the world. Big thanks to the many who are supporting these services, from grounds to catering and chair moving, and AV to ushering - it's so appreciated! It's also the reason why there's no newsletter next week! You're welcome to come along to the services, too - see p 3 for details.
