2023-07-20 Jesus calms the storms...

Here's the church, full of children and parents this morning at the leaver's assembly. (Not pictured: Steve shooting me with a water pistol. It was planned, honest!) We thought about how storms are scary and exciting - a bit like moving schools - but how we can know that Jesus is with us as we go through that transition. It's felt a bit stormy in the life of our church family recently. We're feeling the loss of Geoff - it's a shock! - as well as Katy's dad, and it's right that we mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15). Please see funeral details on p5. We also have the chance to rejoice with those who rejoice as we anticipate Zoe and Jake's wedding in 10 days! I'm glad to say that Paul's feeling much better after having been taken ill last week. The talk that day was the last in our series looking at Exodus 34:6&7 and if you'd like to catch up, the transcript is attached to this email - or catch up on our website. This week, Nick will help us to think about applying what we've learned, before our Summer All Age services look at Jesus' I Am sayings.
