Thank you so much to Brian and Linda and their team
for cooking and serving such a wonderful lunch last
Sunday. It was so good to gather together with old
friends and new ones. Thank you to all who tidied up and
washed up too - it was a big job and we couldn't have
done it without you!
Thank you too, to all those who offered their 'seeds' so
that God could grow it. We'll be in touch but bear with us
as lots of us are away for the next couple of weeks! If
you'd still like to respond, I've attached the current list of
areas at St Francis where we could do with a hand - it's
on page 4. We plan to draw up teams for sides people,
chair moving and cake baking in order to share the load,
as well as looking for help in the other areas mentioned.
I also want to thank you for reconfirming your pledges
as we readvertise for a Children and Families Minister.
There is a national shortage of such people and
recruitment is tricky nationally, so we've taken advice and
will be readvertising a job at the end of October, that's
full time, with flexibility to offer part time or term time.
Please do pray that God would raise up the right person
for this important role.
