13th January 2022: Beating the January Blues

Next Monday Jan 17th is known as blue Monday - allegedly the most depressing day of the year, based on the darker days and cold weather of January, debt after Christmas and failing to keep New Years resolutions! Add Covid into the mix and one can appreciate it's not the easiest time of year, though it's certainly helped by this lovely winter sunshine. The sort of January blue in the photo above is more the sort we're after!

I'm enjoying the buzz about St Francis at the moment. So many of you have been positive about our plans to employ a Children and Families worker, and I'm grateful for the pledge forms so far received - please do keep them coming! Last Monday a good number of us shared communion together at the end of Cafe, something we'll repeat monthly on the second January. Next Sunday at 3, Messy's back, and next Saturday we have our first social event of the year coming up. We'd love to see you and to get to know you better - please join us, email [email protected] or sign up after church on Sunday!

Soup and Stroll on Jan 22nd - join us for which ever bit suits you
