We'd often look to have a quieter August in church life - time to get away, get together and get rested ready for September. Even if we're not especially involved with schools, somehow September is the start of a new wave of activities! We'll be starting the month with an all age service and back to school brunch on 3rd September - it's for everyone! So do put it in your diary. (Possibly now's a good time to confess that many of the church leadership will be starting a new wave of activities in September - on holiday!! We'll let you know who to contact during that time.) After a busy time at St Francis at the start of the month we do have a couple of weeks before schools go back, continuing our more relaxed Sunday morning services and cafés. This Sunday morning we'll be thinking about Jesus the Good Shepherd. It's a great chance to be reminded of His invitation to rest in green pastures, and beside still waters, and to allow Him to restore our souls (come rain or shine!).
