The Valley ParkLife Festival was so much fun! Huge thanks to all - to so, so many of you who helped, headed up areas like barbecue, crafts, face painting and teas and coffees and also to all who came, brought friends and family and neighbours, and welcomed others - not to mention performed! There was a lovely atmosphere and I'm so proud to be part of a church who welcome the community - as well as church family! - with so much generosity and warmth.
Thinking of generosity, 1 Corinthians 9:11&12 reminds us that when we're generous in sharing the gifts that God has given to us, others will be blessed and give thanks as a result: 'He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts which they receive from us. For this service you perform not only meets the needs of God's people, but also produces an outpouring of gratitude to God.'
