Our ethos
At St Francis’ we strive to be a friendly and welcoming church: to individuals, and to families groups of all types and compositions. We welcome Christians of all ages and denominations, as well as those exploring the Christian faith or seeking God, to worship alongside us.
However we are ever mindful that we can all be fragile, vulnerable or anxious at some time in our lives. For this reason, and conscious of both our moral, our ethical and our legal obligations to respect and care for one another, we take very seriously our safeguarding responsibilities, and particularly to those who may be vulnerable in whatever way.
We are committed to following the guidance of the Church of England, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, in the safeguarding, care and nurture of everyone, of all ages and capabilities, within our Church Community, and also any others while they are in contact with our Church. We are also committed to adopting and implanting best practice conduct and procedures in these areas.
Our Safeguarding Policy
To this end we have a Safeguarding Policy which our Church Council reviews annually.
Our Safeguarding Officer is Linda King who is the first point of contact for all Safeguarding issues. Contact her on [email protected].
