One of the highlights of last week was being able to enjoy coffee together after church on Sunday! It's great to be able to return to some activities that I certainly took for granted pre-pandemic. It was also great to welcome parents to café yesterday morning (above pic) after they'd dropped their little ones at reception for the first time.
Going back to things we really enjoyed is such a pleasure, and we've got a couple of other events coming up that I'm excited about and I'm sure you will be too. Firstly, Messy church is returning! Joe will be heading it up and it'll be starting again on Sunday September 26th at 3pm. We could do with a bit of extra help, so do get in touch if you're able - see next page.
And Brian and Linda have agreed to cook one of their roast dinners after our Harvest service on October 3rd. If you're new to St Francis book in quickly as these lunches are legendary. Indeed there may be some truth in the suggestion that Brian's roast dinners are part of why I applied for the position here at St Francis! See the next page for more details.
Planning the things we love is a joy, but we're all aware that things aren't just as they always were. We still want to look out for each other and to be aware that we're all getting back to activity at different rates, that we all have different vulnerabilities. And we're still working out just how we want things to look, how we sense God is leading us on this pandemic journey. Joe will be speaking on the second part of our series of talks at our morning service - do join us on line or in person as we look to find God in this journey onwards.
