7th October2021: Thank you!

We've had a great time over the past couple of weeks with Messy church and then the Harvest lunch last weekend. It was so good to have fun together, catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Brian and Linda fed around 106 of us and those roast potatoes that we dreamt of over lockdown - even offering them as on-line quiz prizes (I hope they were claimed?!) - did not disappoint at all! Big thanks to them for an amazing roast dinner. And thank you to everyone who has helped at these events - there's lots to do in preparing, setting up, and tidying up and we couldn't put on events without your help.

We'd love to enjoy more events together and we're also really aware of the burden it can put on a few people. Rather than add lots more rotas, can I encourage everyone of us to jump in and lend a hand? Whether you've just joined us or been here for years, the invitation is to get stuck in, whether it's washing up or moving chairs or tidying. Being part of any family comes with joys and responsibilities - what better way to belong, than to dive in?! As Cliff said in his Harvest talk - there are no passengers in the church, just cabin crew!
