At our Annual meeting last Sunday it was great to be able to look back at 2020, acknowledge it was hard, and also celebrate all that's been achieved. We started to look ahead too, and I shared our very simple priorities for 2021:
Get to know each other (again)
Try things out, and not set them in stone too soon!
It's been so lovely to catch up with people again over a coffee in the church garden as café gives us an opportunity to make a start on the getting re-acquainted. If you can't usually be there why not
try it out on Bank Holiday Monday? We'll be looking at more events when we're able (July 4th is hopefully in your diary as we plan to celebrate Joe's priesting and - at last! - welcome him and his family to St Francis!).
In terms of trying things out, I'm especially thinking of how we do services. We've been enjoying a new style of service at 10 and are committed to continue live-streaming, so we will be thinking about how that will work practically, alongside communions, junior church, baptisms - etc!
Have you filled out the sheet of what we've lost and gained yet? It's attached to this email, or available through the QR code on the next page, it's very quick to do, and will really help us to shape the future! Thank you for your help.
