I was surprised at how relieved I felt to have a road map out of lockdown at the start of this week, and though it's slow - long and winding for sure, with a reasonable possibility of a few extra twists and turns too - it's becoming reasonable to anticipate life after lockdown. Whilst relieved, I also realise that I've got used to this rather limited life, and that returning to normal won't all be straight forward - the pandemic will have left us all a bit scarred one way or another. I know it's not just me who winces at seeing people in very close proximity in older TV programmes!
Between the wardens, Council and the ministry team, we're starting to put our own road map in place for St Francis. It will enable us to slowly get back together again, establishing and re-establishing relationships with one another 'in real life.' We recognise that we've learned a lot of good things during this time, and believe that our AV stategy reflects some of those - could you help us to realise this vision? Details on page 3.
If there are thoughts you'd like to share about post- pandemic church, I'd love to hear from you - drop me an email. Emails are great - but how much nicer to chat over a coffee in café - and though not for a few months, that possibility really is on the horizon!
