Today's Ascension Day, 40 days after Easter! Why is that important? By coming to earth as a person, God entered into human existence. In the Ascension, that humanity is taken up into the presence of God. That means that we have a High Priest interceding for us 'who is not unable to sympathise with our challenges, dilemmas, suffering and weakness.' (Heb 4.15–16). We'll reflect a bit about the ascension on Sunday.
