I'm looking forward to being together as a church family over the next few days, as we take the journey of Easter - remembering the last supper tonight, Jesus crucifixion tomorrow, and then celebrating on Sunday. Many of us have spent Lent looking at the prayer course and specifically struggles and disappointments in prayer. Now, as we approach Easter, I find this quote from Tom Wright sums things up brilliantly:
'I am convinced that when we bring our griefs and sorrows within the story of God's own grief and sorrow, and allow them to be held there, God is able to bring healing to us and new possibilities to our lives. That is, of course, what Good Friday and Easter are all about.'
