Joe and I had great fun this week taking part in a nativity from scratch with the two school key stages. It was lead by a staff member, acted out by the school Christian Voice group, with a little stage direction from me, some prayers from Joe, and carols around the Christmas tree in our church garden to finish with. We used a retelling of the nativity called Amazing Days by Bob Hartman, who uses words brilliantly to communicate the truth of Jesus. So brilliantly, that I've reproduced the poem at the end on the next page to remind us what Christmas is all about! (I know we know - but this is so well put!) It was rather amazing to actually meet Bob Hartman the next day with Elliot Frisby at Monkeynut audio - it was lovely to thank him for such great resources and share how the children had all enjoyed it. The school choir will be joining us for the carol service at 6pm this Sunday. Do let friends and neighbours know, and it's live streamed too!
