It was so good to welcome over children, parents and staff from St Francis School, to help us to remember in our 10am service last Sunday. Their songs were so moving and it was a delight to share the morning. We love our links with school! We're delighted that Key Stage 2 join us every week in church at 9am on a Tuesday for an act of collective worship. It's fair to say that whilst we had some fun doing video assemblies, Joe and I are relieved that we're back doing them in person! We also join them in class from time to time and are looking forward to welcoming choir back over to sing at cafe this coming Monday.
Did you know that because it's a Church of England school, more than half of the governors are from St Francis Church? Nick Grew and Brian King are joint chair of Governors, and Jan Southern, Andrew Grove and Richard Harding are also governors - along with myself, as it goes with the job here at St Francis Church! There's still space for one more foundation governor so please do have a chat with me if you're interested in this most fulfilling role. And please do pray for the school and all those who lead in these challenging times.
