It’s been a long time coming, but as we finally emerge from all the restrictions of the last 2 years we reckoned that Valley Park deserved a festival. You might be more familiar with Manchester’s ParkLife festival – but here’s the Valley Park Life festival – a celebration of life in our lovely village, featuring some of the great professional musicians that live here, and for no other reason than than it seems a really good thing to do; and a wonderful opportunity to bless our local community, and each other!
Jesus liked a party - he turned water into wine at one, he often shared meals with friends, and he invited himself to the homes of tax collectors and some of the less reputable folk in his neighbourhood. He did it in order to show and share something of His Kingdom with the world - his kindness, his joy, his healing and restoration. That sounds like a great model!
So, do invite friends, family, and neighbours, it's for everyone. We'll be in the church garden and we'll use the space inside the church if the weather isn't great. There are more details on the next page. In the meantime...
Are you able to help?
We're so grateful to all who've agreed to help so far, and we have people to head up all areas. But we need some cake bakers and help setting up and down on the day. If you can help in some way, and for part or all of the day, please contact Peter Rhodes:
